The 护理 degree at Jamestown 社区 College prepares you to become a registered nurse. You can pursue careers in patient care, emotional support, and education. 注册护士在医院工作, 医生的办公室, 家庭保健服务, 门诊, 学校, 临终关怀, 康复设施, and travel nursing nationally and internationally.
- 在JCC, you'll be prepared to take the National Council of State Boards for 许可 Examination (NCLEX-RN).
- JCC's program focuses on the National League for 护理 (NLN) Association Degree (AD) competencies and Quality and Safety Education for 护士s (QSEN) competencies.
- 护理 faculty are experts in their field, and many are clinical instructors who work with students in the healthcare agencies.
The 护理 program is designed for full- or part-time study and may be completed in a minimum of two academic years of full-time study. The four-semester sequence of nursing courses, 每年秋季开学, 必须按顺序完成. Students who desire part-time study may complete the general degree requirements before seeking admission to the program.

The application to the 护理 program will be available in November 2023 for the fall 2024 semester. The first review of applications will take place December 1 and will continue on a monthly basis until the program is full. Depending on the number of applications received and the remaining space in the program, a point system may be used for the selection process (rubric for point system is available under 护理 Eligibility Requirements). Decisions will not be given over the phone.

Successful completion of Jamestown 社区 College’s A.A.S. 护理学课程 is sufficient for meeting the educational requirements for licensure or certification in New York and Pennsylvania as a 护士. Successful completion of the program may also be sufficient for meeting the educational requirements for licensure or certification in other states, but this has not been determined by Jamestown 社区 College. Enrolled students and prospective students are strongly encouraged to contact their states’ certification entity to review all licensure and certification requirements imposed by that state. - 55% or greater of students enrolled in the JCC 护理 Program will have on-time completion of the program with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science 护理 (4 semesters).
